The Evolution of LEGO Dashboard

Is finally here.

This project was a lot of wrapping my head around the things I've been learning and actually putting them into practice.

While I have detailed what I did and what I learned on my portfolio page, here's the "what I learned" section.

  • How to use IMAGE

  • How to use DATE to convert text to date

  • Customizing the look of timelines/slicers

  • Customizing charts

  • Practiced using the IF and OR functions as nested functions

  • Practiced creating pivot tables & charts

  • You can’t make a pivot table if you have a blank value in the header row

  • Reminded once you copy and paste a pivot table, the two tables operate independently

  • Excel has made it much harder to unhide columns than it used to be

I'm really grateful to have access to challenges like these that really help transform what I've "learned" to something I know how to do in practice. I know that projects are where it's at, and I plan to be working on them much more in the near future.
