SQL for Data Science by UC Davis on Coursera

Updated: Sep 21, 2023

After completing the Google Data Analytics Certificate, I knew I needed WAY more SQL explanation and practice. I had seen this course recommended, so I decided to give it a try.

I found the explanation of the code, the syntax, and the uses of the different elements easy to understand and follow.

I understand SQL much more clearly now.

ChatGPT helped with this a little, too. (Check out my LinkedIn post here)

I was nervous about the end-of-course project, but I was so proud of myself when I finished it. The reviews from my peers were also incredibly encouraging, and helped reinforce that I had something to be proud of. If you want to see my first baby SQL project from the course, click here.

I feel confident in moving forward and continuing this journey.

In this course the general syntax, layout, and logic really began to clear up. I feel confident now in being able to perform joins and subqueries, as well as some other operators.
