Power BI Data Models

Today I started learning about connecting tables in the "model view" section of the front-end of Power BI.

This section of the course started with a reminder about relationships and schemas. From experience, I can tell this is very well placed. If I had not previously learned about primary and foriegn keys, normalization, or schemas--I would have been lost. Luckily, this was reinforcement for my understanding and I'm glad for the review.

Creating and managing relationships among Power BI tables is really easy so far! Drag and drop, right-click to manage.

The most difficult part so far is messing with the matrix in the "report view." Not that it's difficult, but I haven't spent much time with that view, so it's just learning the layout.
