A reflection, and a change of direction

Yesterday, I learned about the Central Limit Theorem from the statistics course.

Then, I did some reflecting and realized I was off track, and that I really, REALLY, should be focusing on building my portfolio.

I've been putting it off. It feels so daunting.

Today I decided I would join in the current Maven Analytics challenge.

After staring at the data going "what have I done?" I used the good ol' paper and pencil to get my thoughts flowing and get some direction.

Once it no longer seemed SO intimidating, I used some pivot tables to get an idea of some patterns and trends in the data. Then, I headed into Tableau.

Honestly? Tableau and I were not on good terms the last time I tried to use it. It was not saving my work and I got so frustrated that I'm just now visiting it again. Which means that today I'm re-learning how to use Tableau. It actually makes a lot more sense now than it did when I was taking the Google course about it.

I still have work to do, but I feel good about the progress I've made.
